About the office/school



The Prospective Students Office (PSO) is responsible for driving the University’s objectives in relation to the recruitment activities for domestic prospective students across all programs and supports the successful transition of strategy into operational plans across the entire student recruitment journey.
About the role
Reporting to the National Manager, the Student Recruitment Officer is part of National Team responsible for recruiting undergraduate and postgraduate students to meet the University’s enrolment objectives. The position supports the engagement of prospective students by providing specialist advice on study options at the University and guidance through the application and enrolment process . Whilst connecting to build and nurture relationships with stakeholders that support and drive the enrolment pipeline .

Key Responsibilities



Drive recruitment activities for domestic and international students to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Act in accordance with University policies, strategies and the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and regulations. Build key relationships with high schools, career advisers and Registered Training Organisations ( RTO s) to deliver accurate information about study options with the university. Promote and assist in the development of new recruitment channels, primarily aimed to grow student enrolment numbers for student recruitment campaigns. Assist in the coordination and execution of an enquiry management framework, including lead capture and deploying accurate communications in response to and across frontline through events, online promotions, walk-ins, emails and phone enquiries. Maintain strong relationships with internal teams including Admissions, Marketing, Faculties/Schools, Student Administration, and Student .

Qualifications, skills & experience



As part of the selection process the preferred applicant will be required to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), hold a current C-Class Driver’s License to travel within the metropolitan area and be available for after hours and weekend work as required .
Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Hold a current C-Class d river’s l icense . T rack record of student recruitment and conversio n , with a sound understanding of the student recruitment cycle from enquiry to enrolment. Pr ior experience managing events or projects which demonstrate strong organisational planning and evaluation skills. Sound knowledge of CRM principles and demonstrated experience in using CRM systems and/or databases. Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to produce accurate and informative reports from multiple data sources. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to deliver results and take initiative. Excellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
