SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Algeria. DURATION 12 months on-going ROTATION 28 Days On x 28 Days Off
MOBILIZATION ASAP PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Project & Programme management and oversight activities
Acts as an advisor to the Field Managers and other senior management on efficiency and project initiatives to feed into budgeting, scheduling, and operations planning.
Delivers strategic advice on safety, schedule, cost, and quality for all planned project activities.
Involved in the analysis of commercial proposals – acting as the Project Management lead/interface.
Co-ordinates projects, plans and objectives across a wide range of activities.
Management Advises staff on Process Safety Programs, Management Systems, Compliance Issues to meet company objectives.
Provides guidance to and oversight of Process Safety Engineers to ensure best in class arrangements are in place for both project and operations activities.
Works closely with the Shutdown, maintenance & Engineering groups.
Analysis processes and procedures to look for improvement opportunities across a wide range of operations, project, maintenance, and planning activities.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Degree level qualification (BEng, CEng, BSc or MSc) in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Project Management skills - extensive experience in Facilities Engineering, Plant Operations. Petroleum production facility design and operation knowledge, control systems and safety systems.
Must have experience of commissioning and construction projects.
Must have min. 10yrs broad, international experience in oil, gas and/or chemical processing facilities, ideally for both Operators/Clients and on the Service Company / Supplier side.
English language skills are required – French and/or Arabic are advantageous.
