Job Description

Main responsibilities:


  • Defines and implements brands access strategies and plans for his/her own therapeutic area.


  • Guides, coordinates, plans, structures and prioritises the broad area of market access activities, to design and implement innovative market access solutions and services whilst driving cross-functional teamwork.


  • Sets strategy & action plan based on changes in healthcare trends & policies & their impact on business and lead the implementation of the action plan


  • Develops value proposition material tailored to the needs of the markets


  • Leads the cross functional work to assess the unmet medical need while create / tailoring health economics arguments to defend and protect Sanofi portfolio’s pricing strategies.


  • Works closely with franchises to provide strategic contribution to the Commercial Teams, address business issues, identify new business opportunities, proposes trade-offs (when necessary) and cross-portfolio strategy, manage product lifecycle and address various pricing/access challenges.


  • Works closely with other functions such as Medical, Marketing, LEBI to build networks, understanding and close relationships with decision makers and leverage influence through joint programmes of action.


  • Sets Pricing Strategies for new molecules, and align with global/regional pricing functions and


  • Contributes to shaping the Healthcare environment by conducting networking activities with National Healthcare Systems, government, local Industrial Trade Association and other key stakeholders.


  • Liaises with Health Authorities in order to conduct projects, national Health strategic initiatives and insure proper project agreements and partnerships are in place


  • Monitors public information (published literature, public / private payers’ websites) for health technology assessment (HTA), market access (MA), pricing & reimbursement (P&R) and propose appropriate actions.


  • Introduces new ways of improvement of market access deliverables and processes through new SOPs or policies.


  • Create market access solutions to address patient affordability and ensure better access conditions of Sanofi portfolio.


  • The PAMA Head is also accountable for the planning, development and implementation of PA strategies, programs and initiatives at country level with all stakeholders to secure a timely and effective access to Sanofi’s products.


  • Delivers and promotes Sanofi image, values and attitudes in front of Health Authorities and other stakeholders.


  • Secures the Sanofi One Voice in front of institutions, national authorities, policy-makers and the main trade associations.


  • Drives advocacy projects through building networks and creating coalition to drive Sanofi business in the country.


  • Drives patient advocacy groups for the relevant therapeutic areas to Sanofi, when applicable, and support their scope of work.


  • Ensure and drive consistent engagement with PA stakeholders with compliance, transparency, and best practice stakeholder management principles. Enhance our company reputation and represent One Sanofi to our partners.


  • Work with the MCO PAMA head to understand the MCO PAMA strategy, positioning of the Franchises, and global business objectives of products. Adapt and translate the strategy based on market realities and priorities, to define high priority tactics and PA campaigns that impact the environment and seize opportunities for success.

About you
Education Level:


  • Post-graduate in Health (pharmacist. Medical doctor) as preference


  • Post-graduate degree such as MBA, MD, PhD, MPA, MPH- preferably Scientific or Public Health


  • Experience:


  • Experience Solid business experience of minimum 10 years in pharma industry(business, medical, health eco or market access) or in a governmental/public Health function


  • Experience in public affairs, market-shaping strategies, advocacy campaigns, key opinions leaders, patient associations, etc.


  • Skills:


  • Advanced negotiation skills


  • Advanced communication skills


  • Think Strategically


  • Jobs required technical skills, clear overview of health policy and market access issues, knowledge of the healthcare landscape in the markets, including an understanding of the interplay between influencers of Sanofi business


  • Network Ability


  • KOL/policymaker/ management

  • Language: Fluent in English & French
