Career CategoryFinanceJob DescriptionJob PurposeAs a member of maghreb finance team the Sr finance associate will be the key point of contact and responsible to support Morocco affiliate finance activities (F&A and FP&A) in the following processes according to the predefined SOPs, together with supporting the other Maghreb countries in the F&A activitiesThis position will be based in Algeria, reporting to CW – Sr Finance Manager Maghreb, responsible for F&A activities across Maghreb countries and FP&A activities relatedResponsibilitiesManage preparation of forecasts (sales & Opex), budgets/LE, LRS and business reviews for Morocco affiliate with a detailed sales and Opex planningPartner with key stakeholders in Morocco from BU’s and different functions by providing financial planning & analysis to facilitate decision makingLeads internal controls and internal/external auditing exercises in MoroccoActs as a point of contact with Morocco distributors and stakeholders (Bank agents, third party consultant, Tax authorities…)Leads G2N set up and reconciliation in Morocco (including FOCs/ discounts, expiries planning, review and reconciliation with distributors)Support in providing timely and accurate information to third party consultant for preparation of regular tax filings for the countries in scope for (WHT, VAT, CIT)Support and resolve routine internal and external inquiries concerning source to pay process (S2P) across Maghreb markets including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons in a time bound mannerPreparation of periodic summary reports to track KPIs for S2P process and helping out to define action points to resolve issuesManaging timely vendor invoice payment processing for Maghreb countriesManage financial review of payment control process across MaghrebReview and approve Algeria team T&E through the tool BizHRS based on existing SOPs and ensure the right documentation in placeSupport in resolving internal queries from employee and contract workers relating to T&E (travel and entertainment expenses) and internal expenses submission portalsEnsure compliance to internal and external policies, regulations and laws applicable to the functionResponse to ad-hoc P2P, T&E, BTA, tax and audit related queries from internal/external entitiesCompetenciesDemonstrates advanced communication skills and abilitiesRegulary represent the company with external .Collaborates, negotiates and persuades others, both internally and externallyDemonstrates a strong customer focus in all activitiesAnalyses complex problems; integrates disciplinary and business strategy knowledge to develop recommendationsDemonstrates strong project management and planning skillsLearn and adapt quicky to new systems, processes.Serves as a role model for Amgen ValuesQualifications Minimum RequirementsDegree in Economics or Business Administratition, ESAA, business schoolExperience of 2 to 3 years work in similar position/s in an international environmentExperience in accounting, budgeting and planning Fluency in English, both in written and oral communicationExcellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Crystal BallPreferred RequirementsStudies specialised in finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting, consolidating)Experience in various areas of finance and accountingExperience in Pharma companies would be a plusIndustry knowledgeBasic know-how of applicable laws concerning business admin, taxes (esp. VAT), accounting and consolidationBasic knowledge of US GAAPExperience with JD Edwards One World.
