Danone MENA is looking for a highly dynamic Compliance Manager for its Specialized Nutrition Business in the Middle East and North Africa region to be based in Algier, Algeria The person will carry out the below responsibilities:A- Healthcare Systems (HCS) Directives / Policies • Support ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer to develop and update ALGERIA HCS/BMS policies • Roll-out training to all Danoners to create awareness on HCS policies and requirements and conduct periodic refresher sessions and workshops for the countries • Report and maintain all training records with HR and share the training records to ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer • Approve and monitor all HCS activities by Danoners through online tool in the Algeria efficiently and in line with Algeria guidelines • Populate, maintain and administer the reports to all relevant stakeholders on HCS activities • Ensure all proof of execution on approved activities are submitted on time on HCS activities and follow-up with relevant stakeholders on any deviationsB- Breast Milk Substitute (BMS) Policy Compliance• BMS compliance policies and guidelines: help in the roll-out the policies and guidelines, continuously raise awareness and keeping BMS compliance top-of-mind for Danoners. • Conduct refresher trainings periodically for Danoners. • Report and maintain all training records with HR and share the training records to ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer • Train all relevant business partners and their teams to ensure that they are all trained on BMS compliance • Monitor and update BMS compliance regulations in a timely manner to reflect changes in local laws in Algeria. C- Others• Monitor compliance through regular field visits and liaise with business controllers to ensure that HCS/BMS compliance requirements are met • Act as the focal point for HCS/BMS Compliance requirements and support ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer to conduct risk assessment exercises, identifying compliance gaps and propose and ensure the implementation of corrective actions • Act as a focal point for all internal and external queries with regards to HCS/BMS compliance with close coordination with ALGERIA MENA D- Compliance Officer • Collaborate with Internal Control team in supporting the quarterly evaluation compliance controls and act on any feedback to improve the process in coordination with ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer • Generate annual and quarterly reports to ALGERIA MENA Compliance Officer on any observed/detected violations of HCS/BMS compliance policies and guidelines in Algeria. • Ensure full readiness at all times for any HCS/BMS compliance audit. • Day to administration of online compliance approval tool (Kissflow) including o Managing user matrix / HCP matrix / Updating all other relevant matrix linked to processes: o Update the process execution to reflect the policy updates, if required o Train new employees about online tool and induction training on HCS and BMS Policies. To be successful in the role you should ideally haveEducation and professional experienceExperience: • 2- 3 years of experience (in a multinational firm preferred) in working in the Algeria and familiarity with local laws is a must• Experience in Nutrition, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry is a plus. Education: • University degree in Pharmacy or law or Finance Languages requiredFluent in English, French and ArabicFunctional Competencies • General knowledge of a broad range of compliance topics and methods of implementation• Strong understanding of the infant nutrition business and ability to work independently• Knowledge of international and local laws governing HCS/BMS compliance• Experience in working with local authorities and enforcement agencies such as Ministry of Health Soft Skills• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills• Excellent problem-solving skills• Stakeholder management and proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders• Excellent interpersonal skills• Strong planning and organizational skills• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentMobility:Candidates should be open to move within the region or outside the region with Danone in 3-4 years if such an opportunity will arise which will contribute to his/her career growth.
