Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
Professional qualifications in Warehouse, Inventory or Supply Chain Management will be preferred
Prior experience in supervising teams and managing high-value inventory
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in PMS platforms, All Microsoft suite applications
Minimum 7-9 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the marine, oil & gas or shipbuilding industry

GAC Marine operates from our fully equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. Operations are supported by our growing fleet of anchor handling tug supply vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boats, tow tugs, barges, utility vessels and landing craft.

GAC Marine is looking for the right person to join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor to be based at its Abu Dhabi marine base. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse at a marine base dedicated to the maintenance, repair and construction of vessels. This includes managing inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring timely availability of critical components, and maintaining efficient warehouse workflows. The role involves collaboration with technical and maintenance teams, procurement departments, and external vendors to support smooth operations at the marine base.
Job Description
Warehouse Operations Management - Supervise daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and dispatch of spare parts and consumables. Implement and enforce warehouse procedures for receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping materials. Ensure the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the warehouse environment.
Inventory Control - Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS). Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and audits to avoid discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of critical items.
Marine Operations Support - Collaborate with the maintenance and repair teams to ensure availability of spare parts for planned and breakdown repairs. Coordinate with project teams on material requirements for newbuild projects. Respond promptly to urgent requests for spare parts and consumables to minimise vessel downtime.
Team Leadership - Lead and manage a team of storekeepers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the warehouse team.
Process Automation - Identify opportunities for improving warehouse workflows and inventory management processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. Collaborate with IT teams to optimise WMS or ERP systems.
Compliance - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to marine operations. Maintain documentation of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments for audit purposes. Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, operational performance, and budget adherence.
