Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Experience:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while following high-standard service protocols.
- Monitor guests’ dining experience and respond promptly to their needs.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Table Setup & Cleanliness:
- Ensure tables are properly set with cutlery, glassware, and napkins before guests arrive.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area, following health and safety regulations.
- Clear tables efficiently and prepare them for the next guests.
Order Management & Coordination:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Process payments using POS systems and issue accurate bills.
Knowledge & Upselling:
- Have in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
- Suggest wine pairings and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Stay updated on daily specials, promotions, and seasonal menu changes.
Teamwork & Professionalism:
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, such as restocking and inventory checks.
- Follow hotel service standards, dress code, and grooming guidelines.
