About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/ess to join the Private Dining team at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:


About the job:


  • To offer guests an enjoyable and expertly served dining experience conforming to Jumeirah standards.
  • To offer quick, correct, precise and friendly service that is respectful and accommodating of the guest's requests of selections and timeliness of service.
  • To coordinate with the kitchen for smooth service.
  • To record all guest charges, gratuities and cash transactions accurately.
  • To set up orders on trays and tables and transport them to guest floors and rooms.
  • To complete opening and closing check list and side task-work as assigned.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues.
  • To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • To maintain and retrieve all food items from the kitchen and attractively, safely transport them to the Private Dining area and place them in a hot box.
  • To stock linen, China, silver and glassware for service.
  • Equal responsible for minibar operation within room dining Standard.
  • To handle folding tables adequately and safely.
  • To handle dirty linen appropriately and also have basic knowledge about linen inventory.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 


  • Proficient in spoken business English and additional language would be desired.
  • Up to 2 years of experience, preferably with 5 star hospitality company.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of colleagues and management at all levels.
