About the Role:


An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage Department at Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens. The main purpose of the role is to provide quality food and beverage service that is consistent with the SBU SOP at all times in line with our life style concept.


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.
  • Provides table and or counter service of all menu items.
  • Provides table and or counter service of alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Updates food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties.
  • Provides advice on food and beverage to guests.
  • To be familiar with the food and beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
  • Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served, and report to the supervisor or assistant outlet manager.
  • Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.
  • To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and has all tables set according to standard.
  • To report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.
  • To provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant operation.
  • To identify potential problems and ask for assistance before a breakdown occurs.
  • Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Company Quality Standards.

About You:


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


Essential:


  • University Degree preferably in hospitality management 
  • 2 years in a Food and Beverage Service outlet in a life style property or restaurant
  • Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm with work 
  • Good English communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
  • Knowledgeable on how to use Micros
