 Jumeirah Creekside is a contemporary lifestyle hotel located 2km from Dubai International Airport in the heart of old Dubai. Set in landscaped grounds overlooking Dubai Creek, the hotel offers 292 rooms and suites, 21 meeting rooms, four restaurants, an award-winning spa and access to sports and leisure complex, The Aviation Club. About the Job:

To provide quality food and beverage service that is always consistent with the SBU SBS. To ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.  To assist supporting the FOH team in delivering excellent service standards. Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times both on your section and within the restaurant. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Standards.
• Provides a link between kitchen and service areas.
• Provides table and or counter service of all menu items.
• Provides table and or counter service of alcoholic / non-alcoholic beverages.
• Updates food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties.
• Provides advice on food and beverage to guests.
• Receives and stores food and beverage adhering to all food hygiene regulations and 
• procedures.
• Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served, and report to the 
• supervisor or assistant outlet manager.
• Actively uses up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase 
• revenue.
• Any other duties such as working in different department as may reasonably be 
• requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel 
• functions.
• Effectively communicate with PIC in kitchen and FOH colleagues
• Knows the correct presentation of all menu items.
• Ensures the pass section / area is fully prepared ready for the shift as per restaurant 
• requirements.
• Manage the expedition of food from the pass, ensuring a seamless experience for the 
• guest (i.e. apps with apps and mains with mains). 
• Any other duties such as working in different department as may reasonably be 
• requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel 
• functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Male or Female 
• Ability to work in a smoky environment.
• Flexible scheduling
• Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm with work. 
• Good English communication skills
• Honest and sincere in dealing with colleagues and customers.
• Basic knowledge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
• Basic table service skills

Desirable:

• University Degree preferably in hospitality management 
• 2 years in a Food and Beverage Service outlet in a 5 star property
• Performs tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Can work in a busy place. 
• Can handle the pressure

EXPERIENCE 

• Minimum 2 years in similar position and style of property 
• Has been working in a similar place before.
• Has good product knowledge.
• Flexible to work in the bar for assistance desirable.
• 2-3 years in a Food and Beverage Service outlet in a 5-star property
