VP Information Systems (Crypto industry experience required)

Hiring for a large crypto-currency company in Abu Dhabi.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Information Systems who is well-versed in the technological demands and regulatory challenges of the cryptocurrency industry. The VP of Information Systems will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy, ensuring robust and secure information systems that support the rapid growth and innovation inherent in the cryptocurrency sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a comprehensive information systems strategy that supports and aligns with the company's objectives and adapts to the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
  
• Lead and manage the information systems department, including infrastructure, network, security, database management, and application development teams.
  
• Oversee the implementation and management of IT systems and policies, ensuring they meet the high-security demands specific to cryptocurrency operations.
  
• Provide leadership in IT-related decision-making, including the procurement of new hardware and software, developing new technical solutions, and maintaining solid vendor relationships.
  
• Foster innovation in the company's approach to IT by embracing emerging technologies and practices that can offer competitive advantages in the cryptocurrency market.
  
• Cultivate strong cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring information systems and technology resources align with overall business activities and goals.
  
• Manage IT budgets and forecasts with a keen focus on optimizing costs and ensuring ROI on technology investments.
  
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including data protection laws, cybersecurity requirements, and industry-specific standards.
  
• Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing insights and reporting on the status of information systems, technological risks, and opportunities.
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with additional certifications in systems management or IT governance being highly desirable.
  
• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with atleast 4+ years of experience in the related field.
  
• Extensive experience in managing comprehensive information systems, preferably within the fintech or cryptocurrency sector.
  
• Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy measures relevant to the cryptocurrency industry.
  
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing IT teams.
  
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and compliant IT systems.
  
• Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in developing IT strategies for growth and scaling in fast-paced, evolving technology sectors.
  
• Prior executive-level role, such as Director of Information Systems, CTO, or related senior IT management positions.
  
• A strong personal network within the technology and cryptocurrency sectors.
