The Translator will be directly and functionally
reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. This position
is responsible for ensuring accurate and clear translation of a variety of
documents, including administrative, educational, and operational materials.
This position involves translating content between languages while preserving
the original meaning and context. The Translator works closely with
departmental staff to deliver timely translations that meet the academy's
needs. Additionally, they may assist in interpreting conversations or meetings
as required. The overarching goal is to support the smooth functioning of
operations within the academy by providing high quality translation services
that facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders.

Translate various documents, including administrative, educational, and
operational materials, from one language to another.
Ensure accuracy and clarity in translated content while maintaining
fidelity to the original meaning and context.

Review and proofread translated content for quality assurance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Minimum Qualifications & Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
Fluency in at least two languages, including proficiency in written and
spoken communication.
Proven experience in translation, preferably in an educational or
academic setting.
Strong understanding of language usage and terminology.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in translation work.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in translation software and tools is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
with discretion.
Skills
Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English, with an expert
understanding of language-specific grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic
expressions in both languages.
Proficiency in using translation memory tools, terminology databases,
and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, ensuring accurate, consistent
translations across both languages.
Strong knowledge of educational and academic terminology in both Arabic
and English, enabling precise translation of specialized content relevant to
the academic environment.
Ability to professionally format and layout translated documents in both
languages, ensuring they meet academic standards for presentation and
readability.
Attention to detail and accuracy in bilingual translation, maintaining
the meaning, tone, and intent of the original text across both languages while
adhering to academic standards.
