Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a diversified group seeking a Traineer HSE Officer for the duration of 6 months. The trainee will assist in implementing safety policies and procedures at construction sites. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience, as it offers comprehensive training under the guidance of an experienced HSE Officer. The trainee will support site inspections, safety audits, and client meetings, helping ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while gaining valuable, hands-on experience to develop their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior HSE staff in conducting site inspections, safety audits, and incident reporting.
- Support investigations of incidents and accidents, documenting findings and submitting reports to the HSE Manager.
- Join senior HSE officers in client meetings and safety reviews to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Actively participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings, contributing to discussions on worker safety.
- Ensure the timely submission of safety reports and assist with the upkeep of HSE documentation.
- Monitor the condition of safety equipment, promptly reporting any issues to the senior officer.
- Participate in on-the-job training programs, focusing on UAE construction safety standards, risk assessments, and audit processes.
- Assist in the implementation of HSE policies and procedures at construction sites, working closely with and learning from a senior HSE Officer.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, Basic First Aid, and CPR.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in health and safety management.
- Basic understanding of risk assessment is advantageous, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
