We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to deliver Cloud Engineering services to Rackspace’s Enterprise and SME clients. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on technical skills, with the experience and consulting skills to understand, shape, and deliver against our customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities
Implement cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost-optimized.
Managing and supporting ticket queues of various clients and maintaining the SLA.
Escalation to appropriate task manager of inappropriate work task requests or requirements.
Leveraging personal subject matter expertise, and working closely with peers, the role will be accountable for delivering quality support in a client-facing role. You’ll be the voice of Rackspace within the customer.
Support 24X7 environment with long-term or permanent shifts if applicable.
Support the creation of relevant documentation around the cloud implementations.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Fresh Graduates to candidates up to 1 year of experience may apply.
Should know the basics of one major public cloud i.e. Azure/AWS/GCP.
Strong communication skills.
Help monitor cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, etc. using cloud-native or external tooling.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of PowerShell/Shell/Python scripting.
Install operating systems, and application software in cloud computing environments and patching.
Basic knowledge of network, and awareness of cloud network patterns such as Virtual Networks, subnets, peering, firewalls, etc.
Candidates with knowledge of automation tools such as Cloud Formation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Ansible, or similar will be preferred.
Ideally have a degree in a technology field or equivalent industry experience
