Job Title: Tendering Officer

As a Tendering Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for goods and services required by our organization. Your role involves developing procurement strategies, managing the tendering process, and ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with organizational policies and regulations. You will work closely with suppliers, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that procurement is efficient, transparent, and cost-effective.
Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies for the acquisition of goods and services in alignment with organizational goals.
Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify, assess, and qualify potential suppliers to ensure they meet the required standards, capacity, and regulatory compliance.
Tendering Process Management: Prepare, issue, and manage tenders, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs). Ensure timely submission and processing of all related documents.
Supplier Negotiation and Contract Management: Evaluate supplier responses to tenders, engage in negotiations with successful bidders, and finalize contracts. Ensure contracts are in line with company requirements and budget constraints.
Compliance Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the organization's procurement policies and industry regulations.
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new suppliers, products, and technologies that can support the organization's needs.
Budget and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, monitor budgets, and track procurement performance to ensure effective financial management.
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure the smooth coordination of procurement activities, aligning with organizational needs and timelines.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in procurement, tendering, or supply chain management.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in procurement software and systems.
Strong understanding of procurement regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Experience with government procurement portals (e.g., Abu Dhabi Government Procurement Portal, Tendering Portals) and relevant software platforms used for tender submissions, tracking, and reporting.
