The candidate is required to support Technical Strategy and Projects throughout the Middle East & Africa (MEA) regions.

What You Will Do:



Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents
Support and commit to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.
Lead an effective and motivated team of Technical Service Managers in the MENA and SSA regions
Assist in the preparation of Invitation to Tender (ITT) responses, working with Sales, Business Development and Tender Management teams to define strategy and develop high quality responses.
Be the key focal point for assisting R&D, Sales, and Marketing in development and delivery of key technology growth areas through identification of requirements/strategies for removing barriers and maximizing opportunity conversion.
Consult with Regional/Global Marketing on relevant global product line portfolios to ensure we have the optimal offerings, identify gaps, and identify key innovations from other regions to bring into the Eastern Hemisphere.
Identify and create strategies for filling gaps in sales and support teams’ technical knowledge (e.g. responsible for building regional knowledge of new to region unconventional field treatments critical to regional growth plans).
Support establishing a culture based on Accountability for identifying and developing technical solutions for current and future customer gaps, particularly associated with deployed technology, within the regional organization.
Support defining regional strategic plans and development of implement strategies accordingly. Regularly review plans with business teams to reflect ongoing changes in prevailing market conditions and business opportunities.
Demonstrate flexibility by being able to adapt to constant shift in priorities due to the nature of the business and competitive environment.
Be able to identify threats to customer drivers (HSSE, reliability, profitability, turn around success and product quality) and provide solutions (mechanical, operational, chemistry, technology)
Active collaboration and knowledge sharing with other personnel and functions within ChampionX by exchanging information, potential new business opportunities, chemical applications and best practices, by regularly leveraging on available knowledge sharing platforms, such as CORE.
Assist the Sales Team (as required) in renewing existing contract or wining new contracts with customers
Work with wider Business Development Team to maximize effectiveness of corporate strategies for larger customer targets.
Promote ChampionX at industry conferences, exhibitions, and any relevant industry meetings

Minimum Education & Experience



Minimum >10 years of successful technical sales experience in oilfield production chemicals or similar role
Successful experience in working in a matrix, ability to influence across diverse cultures.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience (CAPEX and/or Technical projects)
Resilient, self-driven.
Ability to manage time and prioritize work.
Ability to deliver results and creative solutions to challenges under pressure.
Ability to work across cultures with high energy
Strong analytical skills, including data analytics skills
Ability to work in a team-based environment and to exercise an appropriate combination of cultural sensitivity, approachability, resolve and diplomacy in order to work effectively within multicultural environment
Capacity to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally
Ability to collaborate with a preference for working with cross-functional teams to deliver results on tight timelines
Flexible work approach to respond to demanding client requirements
Ability to navigate complex matrix organization to include and influence key stakeholders in various functions and regions
Change Management strategy knowledge and experience in supporting transformational business programs
A flexible working approach with the ability to respond to ad-hoc and unexpected issues, effectively.
Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work with good judgement
