Job Overview:
Here's your chance to step into the role of Team Leader - warehouse at Motion Gate Operations, part of Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with management, related parties as well as team members.
- Monitor all the Freezer Chillers are functioning properly and update the temperature record sheet
- Monitor the dry store Temperature and update the temperature record sheet
- Check the loading bay cleanliness and ensure weighing scale, Thermometers, Freezer Clothing and other equipment’s are working condition and report any faulty equipment to warehouse manager
- Print all the F&B Receiving documents from Adaco system and prepare for the receiving
- Print all the F&B and Retail outlet requisition and assign staff for picking the items
- If required need to pick the Items as per the outlet requisition and verify the items before dispatching to outlet
- Check the vendor vehicle temperature, Vehicle Dubai Municipality Registration Card and Occupational Health card of delivery person before receiving the delivery
- Check the cleanliness of vendor vehicle and report to Procurement if it’s not meet to our standard
- Check all the deliveries against approved purchase order and all the items should be received as per the purchase order product description, Quantity, Count, country of origin, Brand
- Ensure product temperature is monitored and chilled and frozen items are moved to the storage within 20 min time
- Product production date and expiry date is checked and write the same on the invoice
- Receiving Temperature Log need to be maintained for each delivery at the time of receiving product and all the required details are filled at same time
- Match the vendor invoice with PO price and stamp the vendor invoice and retain the original invoice copy and return the second copy to the vendor attach the PO copy to the invoice and submit the invoice posting
- Check the quality of the fresh products (Fruit and veg) and reject the items if does not meet the required quality
- Prepare rejected log sheet and inform Procurement through mail, chefs and warehouse manager
- Follow-up all the pending delivery with vendor and ensure they deliver items on time
- Ensure all the items are stored as per First Expiry First Out (FEFO) basis in the Freezer, chiller and dry store
- All the F&B storage areas plastic crates and pallets are kept clean all the time
- Ensure all the outlet deliveries are sent on time to avoid any operational delay and make sure chilled and frozen items are sent to outlet with proper vehicle temperature
- Retail items are checked and verified before sending it to the outlet to avoid inventory variances
- All the Retail confectionary deliveries are verified and received as per the PO and send to the outlet same day
- All the posted outlet requisitions signed copies are verified and filed
- Conduct weekly expiry date checks for F&B products in the warehouse storage
- Separate all the expired products and keep them in the designated area with label as Expired Items
HSE Requirements
- Conduct Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect the warehouse for potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce Safety Protocols: Ensure that all team members adhere to established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Provide Training: Conduct safety training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff on HSE policies, equipment handling, and emergency procedures.
- Promote Awareness: Foster a culture of safety by regularly discussing HSE topics during team meetings.
- Report Incidents: Document and report any accidents, near misses, or safety breaches promptly to HSE Department.
- Investigate Incidents: Assist HSE Department in investigations of accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop Emergency Plans: Ensure that emergency response plans are in place and accessible to all team members.
- Conduct Internal Drills: Organize and participate in emergency drills in warehouse to prepare staff for various scenarios.
- Monitor Equipment Safety: Ensure that all warehouse equipment e.g. Forklifts, hand Trolleys, is maintained and used safely, conducting regular checks and reporting issues.
- Implement Ergonomic Practices: Promote ergonomic practices to reduce the risk of injuries related to lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about HSE regulations and ensure the warehouse operations comply with local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of training, inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Liaise with Management: Communicate any HSE concerns or suggestions to management and participate in safety committee meetings.
- Encourage Feedback: Create an open environment for team members to share safety concerns and suggestions.
- Promote Wellness Programs: Encourage participation in health and wellness initiatives to support the physical and mental well-being of team members.
- Monitor Work Conditions: Ensure that the working environment is conducive to employee health, addressing issues such as ventilation, temperature, and cleanliness.
About you:
The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:
- High School Diploma with 2 years plus experience in F&B or Retail warehouse, receiving bay in hospitality industry.
- Knowledge in inventory system is must
- UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle Manual No 3) and driving experience is muct.
- Knowledge of Basic food hygiene
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Knowledge of Adaco system will be an advantage.
- Can be able to do heavy lifting, pulling and pushing
- Proficient in English
