As a Tax Accountant, your role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's adherence to tax regulations while optimizing financial

outcomes. You will manage various tax-related functions, contribute to strategic tax planning, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and standards.


Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

 Adhere to established departmental processes, policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and controlled

work practices.

 Uphold the organization's values and ethics to foster a culture of integrity and accountability.

 Lead the identification of opportunities to enhance accounting systems and increase operational efficiency.

 Contribute to the implementation and testing of internal controls to ensure process continuity and effectiveness.

Assess and mitigate tax-related risks to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies.

 Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to internal processes and procedures.

 Provide support and guidance to internal teams on tax-related issues and compliance requirements.

 Develop tax filing and reporting procedure and process document and provide necessary knowledge to other staff to ensure

compliance.

 Provide necessary amendment/changes to the ERP system to implement tax related codes and files.

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

 Prepare and file accurate tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

 Provide strategic tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial benefits.

 Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.

 Assist in audits and inquiries from tax authorities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

 Prepare update on local/master file for the companies registered with corporate tax.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

 Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and implement effective tax strategies.

 Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles and organizational guidelines.

 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify tax implications of business decisions and provide recommendations.

 Maintain accurate records of tax-related transactions and documentation for audit purposes.

Continuous Improvement:

 Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax-related activities.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

 Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and auditors.

 Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address inquiries and provide support on tax-related matters.

 Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure alignment on tax strategies and compliance requirements.
