Overview of the role:

To support the F&B Manager to ensure smooth operations of production, the IKEA Restaurant, co-worker restaurant, Swedish Food Market, IKEA Bistro and IKEA Café.

What you will do:

Customers

• Ensure customers are always in the team’s focus and being served according to their needs.
• Take immediate action to meet the needs of customers and stay updated on the services offered in the store.

Commercial

• Consistently have an overview of the store business plan and IKEA Food action plans and support the F&B manager in implementing them with the team.
• Ensure attractive presentation and communication of the offered food range.
• Work with the F&B Manager to actively contribute and support relevant marketing and in-store activities.
• Support the F&B Manager in implementing range changes in a simple and cost-conscious way.
• Initiate commercial activities during unexpectedly quiet times to attract visitors and increase the take-up rate or take other actions to secure productivity.
• Ensure the assigned area is efficiently maintained as well as clean, organized, and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
• Use local market awareness to give the F&B Manager input regarding range and pricing.

People

• Work with the F&B Manager to ensure all the co-workers in my area understand the IKEA Concept and key guidelines and how they impact their specific roles.
• Lead by example and support and coach colleagues on the job so they can meet the needs of our customers and grow professionally.
• Work actively to create an environment where the IKEA culture is strong, diversity is valued, and in which IKEA Food is regarded as a great place to work.
• Take an active role in the team and co-operate when needed with colleagues in other parts of the store.

Operations

• Ensure that the IKEA Quality and Food Safety Policies and routines are followed.
• Report any food incident, or potential incident through CASY and inform the F&B Manager.
• Contribute to creating a “safety first” culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions.
• Ensure there is the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run the area successfully.
• Ensure the daily operational routines and actions set out by the F&B Manager for the area are implemented

What you will need:

• Prior experience in similar area of responsibilities
• IKEA sales experience and knowledge of IKEA merchandising techniques                                                       
• Experience in supervising a team                                          
• Experience in developing store action plans
• Experience in working with a KPI-driven action plan    
• Basic English communication skills
• MS Office literacy
• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities with the drive to make things happen
