Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot and
administer backup and archival solutions based upon following technologies.
Must possess required vendor certifications for the same:
NetBackup/NetWorker/Backup Exec/ Avamar/Data Domain/NetBackup Appliance/Enterprise
Vault/SourceOne
Additional industry certifications from vendors like HP,
Veeam, Cisco and Microsoft are an advantage.
NetBackup experience is crucial
Key experience:
Veritas NetBackup administration and support
Preferred: Data
Domain, Enterprise Vault, Avamar, NetWorker
Tape Library support
Dell Avamar and
Networker (data protection suite) administration and support
3-10 years experience
Installation
experience for any of the above products is a positive
Full clean driving license
Experience working in the Gulf region
Soft skills:
Adaptable and progressive learner with the ability to
explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in
a team environment
Excellent and confident communications and interpersonal
skills
Proficient organizational skills
A high level of energy and enthusiasm
