Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supplier Relations Lead to focus on onboarding suppliers to our client and leading a team of sales executives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by signing up suppliers, managing relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving supplier growth on our client's platform.
This role is crucial in expanding our supplier base and ensuring our client continues to offer a broad and competitive product selection as well as leading a team of sales executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify, reach out to, and onboard new suppliers to expand product offerings.
Generate and qualify leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and industry research.
Build and maintain a pipeline of potential suppliers interested in joining the platform.
Supplier Onboarding and Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms that benefit both the suppliers and our client
Ensure timely and clear communication with suppliers, addressing any issues promptly.
Continuously update supplier catalogues, ensuring product details, stock, and pricing are accurate and competitive.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
Deliver compelling presentations to suppliers, highlighting the benefits of joining.
Present contracts and agreements to suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to secure sign-ups.
Close deals and achieve supplier onboarding targets, contributing to overall company growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate on promotional strategies and supplier marketing initiatives that drive engagement and sales.
Reporting and Analysis:
Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, contracts, and onboarding progress using CRM software.
Prepare reports on supplier performance, onboarding metrics, and market trends.
Required Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in both English and Hindi/Arabic.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Proven track record in supplier acquisition, sales, or a similar role.
Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
