Job Purpose:
Custodian of ADNOC Group Companies’ core materials and streamline operations. Supervise core operations, storage, and geological services for all ADNOC Group Companies and Shareholders. Ensures adherence to industry and ADNOC safety standards. Delivers essential geological data for field development, aiding in the formulation of optimal reservoir development strategies. Organize geological workshops for universities and ADNOC Group companies, fostering professional development and contributing to the achievement of company KPIs.
Key Accountabilities:
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Supervise core operations, storage, and geological services for all ADNOC Group Companies and Shareholders.
- Custodian of ADNOC Group Companies core materials, ensuring streamlined operations across various processes such as core registration, barcoding, slabbing, plugging, trimming, marking, waxing, resin and thin-section preparation, core photography UV/WL, geological services, and core workshops.
- Supervise core operations to drive ADNOC’s profitability and enhances operational efficiency for increased financial returns.
- Provides onsite support for Reservoir Geologists, Sedimentologists, Petrophysicists, and Geomodellers in performing studies to feed the geological models.
- Supervise the registration, barcoding of new core materials from drilling sites and coordinates the dispatch of core materials for geological studies and analysis, both locally and internationally.
- Delivers core data essential for field development and strategizing optimal reservoir development approaches.
- Support the centralization of all ADNOC Group Companies core materials in ADNOC Core Labs Facility.
- Supervise the Core Tracking Digital Solution for ADNOC Group Companies’ core materials, tracking all geological requests and ensuring comprehensive data entry into the database, including registration, racking system allocation, barcoding, core imagery, and analysis reports.
- Supervise and manage the core material storage facilities, guaranteeing efficient resource allocation and planning.
- Identifies process enhancement opportunities and implements strategies, integrating the latest AI technologies to boost operational efficiency and ensure the precision and quality of core operational activities.
- Ensures compliance of all employees and visitors to ADNOC HSE standards and guidelines.

- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

- Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
- Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Communications & Working Relationships:

- Communicates regularly with stakeholder within ADNCO Onshore
External
- Communicates regularly with with Shareholders/ Service Companies /ADNOC Group Companies/ Engineering consultants and Technical Steering committee.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Geosciences Disciplines.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 5 years of experience in warehouse/ laboratories operations

Technical Competencies:
