Role and Responsibilities


  • The Assistant Manager Strategy plays a pivotal role in supporting tourism strategy an development through analyzing market trends, assessing opportunities, and leveraging insights. Moreover, this role drives the development and implementation of strategic tourism initiatives which play a critical role in advancing the destination’s tourism propositions.
  • Collaborating extensively with both internal and external stakeholders, the Assistant Manager ensures that strategic projects, research undertakings, and financial analyses align with the Authority’s overarching mission, vision and strategic objectives.
  • With a keen focus on business case development for potential tourism advancements, the role is instrumental in ensuring that the Authority’s strategies contribute effectively towards achieving the authority’s goals, meeting performance metrics, and enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a premier tourism destination.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Management, International Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in Strategy, planning, analysis, or a similar function, preferably within the tourism, hospitality, or management consulting industry.
  • An understanding of global tourism trends, destination branding, and the nuances of the hospitality industry will be highly beneficial.
  • Experience in financial modelling, understanding of key financial metrics like IRR, NPV, and Payback Period is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in working with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment in strategic direction, and obtaining necessary insights and feedback.
  • Experience in market research, competitive benchmarking, and analysis.
  • Experience in creating detailed reports for senior management and presenting findings, strategies, and updates to boards or executive committees.
