Strategic Planning Manager:


We are looking for a versatile candidate to support the Strategic Planning function for Emerson Business in the Middle East and Africa.


Reporting to the Director of Planning, this role involves assisting in developing company strategies passionate about growth, profitability, and operational excellence.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • Lead preparation of Middle East & Africa Strategic Plan, ensuring roll-out and alignment across Regions, Business Units and Functions
  • Conduct research into strategic growth areas for the world area, including data capturing both internal and external, development of forecast models, use-case scenario identification and assessment of third-party research firms
  • Guide the development of growth programs that enable Emerson to achieve results consistently above market
  • Will be called upon on an ad-hoc basis to lead special short-term projects to support the Strategic Plan execution
  • Identify new markets and industry spaces that expand Emerson’s scope and value to customers
  • Study industries, geographical markets, customers, technologies, channels, and any other field in support of organic or inorganic business development
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on the competitive landscape and industry dynamics, including emerging opportunities / threats
  • Research, build and communicate insights for the organization regarding our competitor and customer strategies and performance
  • Own the content development for critical communication events for the World Area including Board Meetings, Site Reviews, Value Creation Conferences, Operational Reviews, All-Employee Meetings, Strategic Customer engagements, etc.
  • Assist in development of messaging content, presentation materials and supporting data for Middle East & Africa Leadership team members
  • Develop and present business strategies at an executive level
  • Acts as single point of contact in responding to all Emerson requests for business data such as Monthly Business Reports, Quarterly Orders & Sales Snapshots and Annual Strategy Review submissions
  • Enforce to Environment, Health & Safety Norms!

For This Role, You Will Need:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields including Business Management, Marketing and/or Finance.
  • Degrees in adjacent fields such as Engineering also acceptable if the candidate has related experiences such as Strategy, Marketing, Sales & Business Development.
  • MBA candidates are preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Business Development or Project Management or Operations Management –
  • Experience preferred in process automation or industrial automation industries
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
