Job Summary:
The Senior Supply Chain Executive will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring seamless integration across procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role requires strategic leadership to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure cost-effective practices while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, demonstrate a solid understanding of supply chain best practices, and have experience with industry-standard systems like SAP and ERP software.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
o Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
o Forecast demand and supply requirements based on market trends and business projections to ensure inventory optimization.
2. Sourcing Product:
o Cost Control: Implement cost-control measures across the sourcing process to maximize the profit margin on sourced products, balancing quality and price.
o Margin Improvement: Strategically source products that can deliver better profit margins, taking into account factors such as vendor selection, shipping logistics, and volume discounts.
3. Vendor and Supplier Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely procurement and quality standards are met.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings and favourable conditions for the organization.
4. Logistics and Distribution Optimization:
o Manage the logistics and transportation network to ensure efficient and on-time delivery to customers and internal stakeholders.
o Work with third-party logistics providers to optimize distribution routes, reduce transportation costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Process Improvement and Innovation:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging technology like SAP and RFID to drive automation, efficiency, and data accuracy.
o Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and implement industry best practices.
6. Risk Management and Compliance:
o Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions, such as demand variability, supplier risks, and logistics delays.
o Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
o Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to drive individual and team growth.
Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with a track record of successful process improvements and cost savings.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, demand planning, procurement, and logistics management.
• Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems for inventory tracking and data analysis.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
• Advance Excel experience is must.
