Responsibilities:
Support Fintech operations to comply with laws, regulations, and industry standards across the MENA region, including those specific to financial services and technology sectors.
Support cross-functional teams in creating legal assessments for new product offerings that evaluate and identify the legal requirements to launch such products in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Assisted in reviewing and drafting agreements and legal documents on various aspects of the company's operations, including partnerships, vendor agreements, and client contracts.
Stay informed about regulatory developments and changes in the MENA Fintech industry, conduct research, and provide analysis to ensure that the company's activities comply with evolving regulatory requirements. Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate such risks, including developing and implementing internal policies and procedures.
Conduct legal research on a wide range of issues related to Fintech, including intellectual property, data protection, consumer protection, and cybersecurity, to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, finance, technology, and business development, to provide legal guidance and support on various projects and initiatives.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, and other relevant parties to address legal matters and ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal developments in Fintech and related fields through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in law from a reputable institution and additional qualifications such as an LLM or relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum two years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the financial services or technology sector; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with laws and regulations across the MENA Region, particularly those related to financial services, technology, and data protection.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles to practical situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in legal documentation and analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
