1. JOB PURPOSE:
Perform the ADNOC Offshore Technical Authority, for all Well performance and Production Optimization aspects related to petroleum engineering, who provides expert advice related to production Optimization and well testing matters to support Subsurface and Surface Teams achieve their objectives in the areas of Technology Management, Technical Challenges, Standard practices, and Knowledge sharing.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Monitoring business operations and plaining to understand in petroleum engineering studies and projects to serve overall corporate strategy, business objectives and divisional mandates during simulation, production, and well design and testing phases, reservoir flow properties and fluid studies.
- Defines, develops, and advises on Petroleum Engineering policies, procedures, standards, specifications and the adoption of new and existing technologies based on organizational requirements and international practices to assure optimum flow assurances and asset performance.
- Participates
- Evaluates and set new guidelines and criteria for effective surface well testing and evaluation of all producing and injecting wells.
- Promotes effective integration of the key aspects of production Optimization with other disciplines related to petroleum engineering and support different type of well intervention & Rigless operations including Well test programmers in line with company, safety, and industry standards.
- Review & Promotes introduction of new production optimization technologies in ADNOC Offshore.
- Develops standard operating procedures and guidelines and promotes their application in ADNOC Offshore.
- Establish an articulate link between well and surface models focusing on production optimization and continuous improvement, results oriented culture, feedback loops and group peer reviews.

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

- Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management
3. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Regular contacts with concerned personnel and other Team Leaders and Managers
- Regular contacts with personnel in supported departments
External
- Occasionally contacts with vendors and Subcontractors for technical advice and required assistance.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor in Reservoir/Petroleum/chemical Engineering or equivalent. Advanced degree is preferable.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 10 years in Drilling and Completion Engineering (design, analysis and optimization and R&D) along 5 years of completions and workover operations.
