Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: To provide Senior Level strategic alignment, governance, focus, measurement and management of Supplier Relationship (SRM) and Supplier Performance Management (SPM) of third party Suppliers within the divisional area of responsibility To ensure third party supplier(s) of goods and services are delivering in accordance with their contractual obligations, responsibilities and required operational delivery to FAB To manage the vendor on boarding team, ensuring Vendor registration and database updates is done with appropriate due diligence and in alignment with the Bank Group Polices Drive Vendor Master Data remediation and Annual Review
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible to support the formulation, implementation and execution of the Vendor Management strategy to ensure the alignment with the SVM Strategy
- Policies and procedures: Participate in the development, implementation and execution of the Vendor Management and Governance policies and leading processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/ regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled
- Supplier Management Framework: Excellent understanding and practice of Supplier Management Framework(s), policies, process and categorization, managing portfolios of projects/programmes of third party engagements
- Demonstrable relationship management experiences with tier 1 global technology partners
- Proven understanding and execution of the end to end sourcing lifecycle including contract drafting, negotiation and supplier performance management including third party stakeholder management
- Reporting: Manage the creation, measurement, monitoring and reporting on supplier performance using appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure delivery against contractual obligations and present them in an agreed format (e.g. Supplier Performance Scorecards).
- People development: Manage, train and develop team members in order to maximize team level and individual measured performance to deliver expected results and develop high performing individuals through mentoring and experience
- Supplier Reviews: Manage the supplier review meetings and escalations from stakeholders; to analyze benchmark data and agree supplier improvement initiatives with non-performing partners.
- Management capability to influence decision making within multi matrix environment to the benefit of the supplier relationship, business value benefit, and any continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value
- Manage Conflict: Responsible to ensure any internal (stakeholders) or external (suppliers) conflict of interest, are addressed and mitigated and expectations are managed accordingly with effective communication and relationship skills.
- Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships both internally and with external stakeholders
- Drive Vendor Reduction Strategy with Sourcing Team
- Maintain the Vendor Master Data Base in compliance with the policies & procedure
- Reviews audit outcomes pertaining to suppliers and support the appropriate and timely corrective actions.
- To ensure successful management plus delivery of Vendor On boarding process and Supplier Due Diligence
- Lead and encourage identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices in line with global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Specific Accountability
This role will measure, manage and report identified (strategic) partner’s operational and commercial performance using leading practice Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance scorecards to mitigate and reduce the risk of commercial leakage within supplier spend; specifically for high value high risk and operationally critical supplier engagements The leader also participates in sourcing activities to provide needed perspective and thought leadership and provides oversight to the SVM community on an ongoing basis. The vision is to provide consistent and structured decision making regarding vendors, service level enhancement, business and technology agility and lower operational costs Ensure appropriate due diligence and checks conducted when Vendors are on boarded Adherence to established KPI’s. Meeting established SLAs for the function Stakeholder management Appropriate handling of escalations and corrective measures implementations to ensure no repetition Provide experience + expertise to support, track and remediate supplier complaints and Supplier compliance to on boarding process Continually look to promote, develop and implement improvements to the VMO function for the delivery of Product and Services. Monitor external supplier complaints on the registration process
Qualifications
English, Arabic desirable Min. Bachelor’s Degree 10 years demonstrable sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship and supplier performance management activity in a multi-vendor, complex, global working contract landscape Proven track record of supplier management techniques Ability to conduct contract analysis including legal terms review and make recommendation for changes Evidential record of implementing or managing Supplier Performance Scorecards for vendors Clear understanding of software licensing provisions, techniques, contract options and commercial models Ability to align with business strategy and engage Senior Management to reinforce the value of SVM Can operate in a multi matrix, performance driven structure, able to lead cross-functional projects Accountable for supplier relationships and dispute resolution liaising with tier 1 vendor executives Strong change agent, with the ability to make things happen, gain traction quickly and motivated by successful delivery Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and strong negotiator who can effectively manage relationships that are widely dispersed both functionally and geographically Project management skills ability to develop key supplier relationship Leadership skills desirable Comfortable working with senior level stakeholders
