We are currently seeking a Specialist – Project Management  for one of our very well-known Aviation client, to be based in their  Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

This role is dedicated to supporting the Director General. This position is responsible for managing various assignments, technical and non-technical projects, and investigations that are of direct interest to the Director General by ensuring that these activities are executed efficiently, findings are accurately reported, and recommendations are presented to facilitate informed decision-making:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, assignments commissioned by the Director General, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within scope and budget, if any. These assignments include investigating root causes of ongoing problems, identifying and recommending best practices, developing methodologies, conducting organizational studies to enhance business operations, assessing existing systems and work practices, and properly executing change management to complement the work of the corporate development department.
  • Collect and gather relevant data from various sources within and outside the organization to support the assignment findings.
  • Act as a point of contact with various organizational stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different areas as required.
  • Undertake various assignments to develop company initiatives/projects to be implemented in coordination with other functions in order to ensure that company’s strategic objectives are translated into added-value projects in line with the business direction.
  • Support the ongoing operations of the PMO.
  • Develop and communicate the Portfolio Management Office's vision, mission, and strategic goals and align the PMO's objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Design PMO systems and processes, including the development, maintenance, and update of tools, standards, and processes to streamline activities and ensure effective and consistent execution of assigned  projects.
  • Provide oversight (technical review, risk mitigation, etc) for various projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope, and quality), standards, and objectives.
  • Offer advanced expertise in project planning, requirements gathering, and scheduling, budgeting, and procurement.
  • Communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues and foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the PMO.
  • Provide advisory services to the head of PMO as needed.
  • Maintain project management tools and databases.
  • Develop and analyze project performance reports.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of PMO training and communications.
