Airport & LPOC and/or Aircraft Operations Inspection


  • Plan day to day to implement aircraft operations inspections activities and to define guidelines for frequency and associated follow-up activities.  Prepare and maintain oversight checklists in accordance with national requirements to ensure effective oversight. Prepare and conduct oversight inspection to ensure compliance with national requirements in accordance with the oversight plan. Identify, categorise, and record deficiencies for corrective action. Support investigations of aviation security occurrences, incidents, and violations. Collect, collate, and analyse data relevant to quality control activities.
  • Conduct quality control activities to ensure compliance with requirements of the UAE Civil Aviation Law, Civil Aviation Regulations, and the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP); assess and evaluate quality control results; conduct follow-up quality control activities.
  • Review aviation security aspects for issuance /renewal of Aircraft Operator Certification (AOC) and Aerodrome Certification (AC)

Continual Improvement


  • Contribute and participate in the development implementation and maintenance of the National Civil Aviation Security Quality Control Programme (NCASQCP) to determine the level of compliance. Also, to validate the effectiveness of the Civil Aviation Regulations, National Civil Aviation Security, Programmes, and other national security schemes
  • Contribute and participate in the review and development of National Civil Aviation Security Policy, Civil Aviation Regulations, National Civil Aviation Security Programmes, and other national security requirements to ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 17 Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Provide senior expertise, guidance, and information to colleagues pertaining the Inspection procedures.

Internal Surveillance Program & External Audits


  • Implement corrective actions raised against the Sector under the internal surveillance programme to align with international standards and continuous improvement.
  • Support the administration of activities by external entities on request.

Document Management


  • Maintain records of relevant reports, certifications, and general correspondence to ensure proper document management

Reporting


  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Preferably a degree from a University/College or professional qualification in aviation security with 3 years’ experience in a relevant function.
