Diagnose and treat hematologic malignancies, including acute and chronic leukemia, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders.
Perform bone marrow biopsies, aspirations, and stem cell transplantation procedures (if applicable).
Develop and oversee individualized chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy plans.
Interpret laboratory tests, bone marrow pathology, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular studies.
Provide supportive care, including transfusion management, infection control, and palliative care for terminally ill patients.
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and optimize treatment strategies.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and potential side effects.
Bone Marrow Transplantation (if applicable):
Evaluate patients for autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Coordinate donor selection and manage post-transplant complications, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).
