To execute market requirements for both ADNOC MS&T freight and for the charter in/out of owned and operated tonnage under the guidance and authorisation of the Manager, ensuring that all formalities are completed for the chartering activities.
• With the Manager assist with Planning the execution of the day-to-day Dry Bulk and Container Strategy
• Analyse market trends and inform/present the management team details of prevailaing market conditions deriving information from relevant market reports and collecting broker information.
• Understand by liasiing the Manager weekly and monthly requriements to present to the market.
• Execute the chartering in / out of ships, and securing market freight under the authorisation of the Manager in strict conformity with ADNOC L&S company policies and proceedures.
• Communicate with the market (brokers and owners) the trade requirements as necessary to achieve above.
• Prepare related documentations in order to transact negotiations in line with standards and requirements of ADNOC L&S.
• Present technical and administrative requirements during negotiation phase of the terms of charter in / out in order to ensure achievement of terms and conditions commercially favorable and in line with ADNOC company requirements.
• Recognize Opportunities in the market and present same to Manager.
• Prepare (and own) reports and document and file relevant market information and ensure that required information is made available on a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain data base and contact details of internal and external parties. Receive and advise information as instructed for smooth flow of chartering activities.
• University degree in a commercial discipline or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• 8-15 years relevant Dry Cargo Principal experience with an Owner / Operator / Cargo Trader.
• Professional Certification: Institute of Charted Shipbrokers (Preferred)
