Job summary
MISSION:
Experienced SP3D Piping Designer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC offshore fixed facilities projects. The ideal candidate will have working experience with Saudi Aramco or Qatargas standards and will be proficient in using design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SP3D, and Navisworks. This role requires technical expertise in piping design, 3D modeling, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
TASKS:
Develop detailed piping designs and 3D models using SP3D software. Create and maintain technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams for piping systems. Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client specifications. Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery. Ensure all designs adhere to Saudi Aramco, Qatargas, and other relevant standards and specifications. Conduct quality checks and reviews of designs and models to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, material take-offs (MTOs), and technical reports. Generate weight control reports for piping components and bulk materials. Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using 3D modeling tools.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in piping design within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC offshore fixed facilities. Proven experience with Saudi Aramco or Qatargas standards. Strong proficiency in SP3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and Navisworks. Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
