SMART CITY BUSINESS CONSULTANT

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Business and Smart City Consultant to develop strategic business cases and innovative solutions for smart city projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and research skills, along with the ability to assess technology-driven opportunities and benchmark global best practices to support urban transformation initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Strategy & Financial Analysis:

• Develop business cases for smart city initiatives, aligning them with defined service catalogs.
• Prepare and analyze financial models to assess feasibility, risks, and potential returns.
• Identify key business drivers, revenue models, and operational efficiencies for smart city services.

Technology & Solution Comprehension:

• Understand and assess the role of emerging technologies in achieving smart city objectives.
• Work closely with technical teams to translate functional requirements into effective solutions.
• Stay informed about advancements in smart technologies to recommend practical and innovative solutions.

Research & Benchmarking:

• Conduct in-depth research on global trends, benchmarks, and best practices in smart city development.
• Analyze case studies to derive insights and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor evolving regulatory, market, and societal trends impacting smart city initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:

• Collaborate with government entities, technology providers, and internal teams to align strategies and goals.
• Lead workshops, discussions, and presentations to communicate insights and strategic recommendations.
• Foster partnerships with public and private stakeholders to drive innovation and adoption of smart city solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related fields (Masters preferred).

Experience & Skills:

• 5-8 years in business consulting, strategic planning, or smart city projects.
• Proficient in developing business cases and financial models.
• Strong understanding of the role of technology in urban development projects.
• Excellent research, analytical, and benchmarking skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with international smart city frameworks and guidelines.
• Familiarity with emerging trends in urban innovation and digital transformation.
• Certifications in Project Management or Business Analysis (PMP, CBAP) are a plus.
