Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Site Supervisor who will oversee the planning and scheduling of all resources required to deliver the maintenance service including specifying procedures, parts, labour, and the control of specialist service delivery partners. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and high level of accountability to manage, report and escalate any incident or event that may have an impact on services. An individual who is able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player.
This role is part of our technical maintenance team at MELABS in Dubai, UAE.
Key Accountabilities
Provide on-site supervision of team/s of Technician or Technical Assistants (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, HVAC and Mechanical).
Ensure that all client assets are maintained in accordance with OEM guidelines/ parameters. Endure that all contractual KPI’s are met.
Responsible for the assets assigned to the Team. Ensuring that day-to-day tasks are undertaken and have a key and integral role in the development of the team.
Provide technical support to the contract/project on all associated equipment and systems.
Be responsible for the effective supervision of all Preventive Maintenance and Responsive (MEP related) jobs, in accordance with applicable standards, contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations.
Ensure that the Earth pits, Aircraft tiedowns, ADF Kitchen and Gym equipment’s are maintained in accordance with OEM requirements.
Manage high risk jobs, like crane-lift operations in accordance with safe work method statement. Ensure that these jobs are delivered with issuance and approval of relevant Permit to Work, NOTAM request/approvals (related to area of responsibility).
Support the Maintenance activities of the department/team by providing specialist engineering knowledge and advice, associated with the full range of building services equipment.
Specific Requirements
5 years’ minimum experience working in a building services engineering department within a facilities management organization.
2 years minimum supervisory experience with the ability to manage maintenance teams.
Technically competent with a clear knowledge and experience of building services system, life safety and buildings controls systems
Must hold a 2-year diploma/ degree in building services High Voltage Electrical, Low Voltage Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or recognized trade qualifications in building services maintenance or a high level of equivalent experience in a previous post.
Experience working in a military base.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green / Black Belt preferred.
Preferably with valid UAE driving license
