Due to a strong pipeline of projects, our Abu Dhabi team is rapidly growing, and we are seeking an experienced Site based Electrical and Solar Power Engineer  to undertake a variety of projects across the region.

In this role you will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of infrastructure, buildings, transport and other project types. This role will see you involved in

• Undertaking and managing the design and documentation of Building Services including: electrical power reticulation and distribution systems, lighting design, standby power generation, communications cabling, lightning protection, fire detection, audio visual and security for various new or revamp related projects.
• Preparation and coordination of fee proposals, technical report writing, cost reporting and client liaison at project level.
• Preparation of authority submissions and construction phase services.
• Leading, mentoring, training and coaching other team members

What you will bring to the team 

• B.S. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university 
• Minimum fifteen (15) years relevant experience. Must have been in consultant’s organization for at least three (3) years in similar position.
• Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be applied for solar power projects during design phase of execution. The experience must include all studies including transient studies for the discipline besides other activities normally carried out for similar EPC projects. Experience in the application of 3 phase electrical projects and their interfaces with electrical distribution authorities in Dubai is a must.  Must have proven ability to contribute during development of electrical system studies, Engineering reviews, purchase, testing and installation.
• A relevant tertiary qualification together with RPEQ status or potential to attain RPEQ status.
• An advanced understanding of Electrical codes.
• Understanding of local council/authority, utility and QFES requirements.
• Flexibility to travel for short term project assignments.
• An understanding of renewable energy resources.
• Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, Autocad, PowerCAD, AGI32/Dialux, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat).
• Ability/desire to carry out coordinated design in the Revit environment using Elumtools and CANECO software packages.
