About This Role
We are excited to invite experienced Simulator Engineers to join us in launching a cutting-edge flight training school in Dubai. This new facility will feature six state-of-the-art, full-flight simulators. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and top-quality operations at our training center.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about helping us achieve CAE’s goal of delivering world-class flight simulator training. As part of CAE’s vision to be the global training partner of choice, you will contribute to enhancing safety, efficiency, and readiness across all aspects of our training center operations.
Support all technical and operational aspect of the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices as applicable.
Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness, support flyouts as required, perform scheduled preventative maintenances, as well as running Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.
Identify recurring issues and work to pursue permanent solutions.
Seek and make improvements to procedures related to various training device maintenance tasks.
Through coaching and mentoring, provide on the job technical training to other technicians that will foster the professional development of all personnel.
Work with the specialists on complex issues that require extensive testing, troubleshooting, research, and design.
Assure, maintain and support the FSTD operations Management System, including implementation and adopting processes and procedures as deemed required.
Perform recurrent minor updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS & EFB Charts, Documents, and Perf Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads.
Maintain, keep track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the PMTs and Daily Readiness.
Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories, re-arrangement of stores, packing, preparation for shipping, etc.
Pursue knowledge and skills to strive to become a technical expert in one or more simulator system. (i.e. Visual, Motion, Flt Controls, etc…)

Support compliance and environment activities aligned with CAE Management System and Global Environmental policies.
You will hold a Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Aviation Field
Have at least 3 years work experience with flight simulators
Excellent knowledge of the English language, read, spoken, and written.
Highly customer oriented, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the customer.
Skilled working knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages. Ability to make minor software changes.
Proficient technical background (Hardware and Software) and familiarity with Flight Simulator technical issues, across all systems, specifically: motion, visual, avionics, dynamics of flight, aircraft systems, etc.…
Proficient knowledge of various aircraft types, including Commercial Jetliners.
Proficient understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.
Good understanding of Commercial Aviation training.
Effective knowledge of local & International (EASA, UAE DGCA, etc.) regulations, with demonstrated experience, as they pertain to FSTDs.
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
