Job Description
At Deriv, we're looking for a dynamic Senior WinOps Engineer to lead our infrastructure automation efforts and ensure our trading platform remains cutting-edge. You'll face exciting challenges, from designing large-scale cloud infrastructures to implementing robust security measures, all while working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
On a given day, you will:
Architect and deploy scalable cloud infrastructures on AWS and GCP, laying the foundation for our global operations
Craft innovative automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, streamlining our deployment and configuration processes
Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, safeguarding our sensitive data and ensuring regulatory compliance
Optimise cloud costs through data-driven analysis, turning our infrastructure into a model of efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
Troubleshoot complex issues and lead incident response efforts, ensuring high availability of our production environments

We would love to work with you if you:
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Possess 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with the ability to contribute as both an individual contributor and a leader
Are proficient in Windows systems administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
Have a solid understanding of networking principles and TCP/IP stacks
Are experienced with large-scale cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and GCP
Are well-versed in cloud security best practices and compliance standards
Have knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and concepts
Understand Agile methodology, CI/CD concepts, and Git versioning
Can write and review scripts with a focus on automation and process improvement
Excel at problem-solving and can troubleshoot issues under pressure
Communicate effectively and collaborate well in a team environment
