SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and oversee junior team members, providing mentorship and guidance
• Conduct and manage transport planning, modelling, and analysis projects
• Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and strong problem-solving skills
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality TIS (Traffic Impact Studies) and TMP (Traffic Management Plans) projects
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements and expectations are met
• Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and innovation in project delivery

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors in Transportation and Civil Engineering; an MSc in Transport Planning or in Civil Engineering would be highly advantageous.
• Candidates MUST be immediately available
• 6-12 years of experience in transport planning, modelling, and analysis
• At least 2 years of experience in UAE roles
• Proficiency in recognized transport modelling tools such as VISUM and STEAM (also known as CUBE)
• Experience with junction operational analysis using tools like SIDRA, SYNCHRO, and HCS
• Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering TIS and TMP projects
• ITC (Integrated Transport Centre) recognition as Engineer or Modeller
• RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) registration as Engineer or Modeller is advantageous
