About the job Senior Systems & Network Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems & Network Administrator to join our IT team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of all IT systems, as well as providing support for both on-premises and remote users.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the administration and maintenance of servers, network infrastructure, storage solutions, and virtual environmentsManage and optimize network performance, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, and ensuring network securityAdminister Windows/Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file serversMonitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availabilityConfigure, maintain, and support cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environmentsImplement and manage network security policies, including firewall configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protectionConduct regular system performance monitoring, including patch management, software updates, and capacity planningTroubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, providing support to end-users and ensuring minimal downtimeMaintain and manage virtualization environments such as VMware or Hyper-VDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT infrastructure, processes, and proceduresLead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementationsEnsure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices, and keep up with the latest technological advancements
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems and Network Administrator, with a focus on senior-level responsibilitiesStrong expertise in managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsHands-on experience with Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicyProficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Strong knowledge of network security practices and toolsAbility to perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planningExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and documentation skills
