Senior Systems & Network Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems & Network Administrator to join our IT team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of all IT systems, as well as providing support for both on-premises and remote users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of servers, network infrastructure, storage solutions, and virtual environments
• Manage and optimize network performance, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, and ensuring network security
• Administer Windows/Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers
• Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability
• Configure, maintain, and support cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
• Implement and manage network security policies, including firewall configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
• Conduct regular system performance monitoring, including patch management, software updates, and capacity planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, providing support to end-users and ensuring minimal downtime
• Maintain and manage virtualization environments such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT infrastructure, processes, and procedures
• Lead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices, and keep up with the latest technological advancements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems and Network Administrator, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities
• Strong expertise in managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong knowledge of network security practices and tools
• Ability to perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
