Plan day-to-day to implement intelligence threat assessment activities focusing on the investigation of acts of unlawful interference as well as the investigation of threats to civil aviation operations. Assist in sanctioning administrative actions and prosecution of breaches
Contribute to advice on improvement of security measures and procedures, also offer advice on threat alerts and relevant risk mitigation measures. Contribute to advice on mitigation measures on high-risk flights and Last Ports of Call (LPC). Coordinate collection and collation of information for verification of any violations and establish aviation security database
Contribute to advice on the development of an effective Annual Aviation Security Quality Control Activity Plan based on trends of previous security occurrences
Contribute to the review and development of the National Civil Aviation Security Policy, Civil Aviation Regulations, NCASP, and other national security requirements to ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 17 Standards and Recommended Practices
Develop and maintain threat assessment requirements using available information in coordination with other local and federal entities.
Analyse and assess threat situations and their methods to understand their consequences and effects on civil aviation in the UAE.
Provide expertise, guidance, and information to relevant stakeholders related to the investigation procedures.
Conduct threat awareness programs as required and provide technical expertise to assist the management in the decision-making process about threats and risks to civil aviation.
Ensure preparing the written reports in timely matters based on the civil aviation threat and risk guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Implement Security Affairs policies, systems, processes, and procedures so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high-quality dangerous goods services to the UAE civil aviation industry by customer service standards.
Internal Surveillance Program & External Audit
Implement corrective actions raised against the Sector under internal surveillance program to ascertain international standards and continuous improvement.
Support the administration of activities by external entities on request.
Document Management
Maintain records of relevant reports, certifications, and general correspondence to ensure proper document management
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferably a degree from a University/College or professional qualification in aviation security with 6 years’ experience in a relevant discipline.
