JOB TITLE: Senior Specialist, Internal Communications


CLIENT BASED: Abu Dhabi


REPORTING TO: Corporate Communications & Brand Director


TYPE: Fixed Term Contract


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist, Internal Communications to manage internal communications, ensuring simple, consistent, relevant, timely, and effective communication to employees. In this role, you will sit within the Human Capital team and assist different functions in formulating HR led campaigns to enhance employees’ perception of and interaction with the Human Capital team, as well as establish the desired organisational structure.


You will report directly to the Corporate Communications & Brand Director with a dotted line to the Human Capital Director to ensure alignment with the corporate calendar and brand guidelines and the Strategic & Internal Communications function.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Work closely with the communications and HR teams to define annual internal communications initiatives that involve and engage all employees across the entire organisation
  • Align internal and executive messaging with the company’s vision, mission and positioning and culture program
  • Work in close partnership with Human Resources, Marketing and Communications and Leadership to execute internal communication initiatives and campaigns from concept to delivery
  • Develop a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, speeches, talking points and announcements to be delivered across a variety of internal communications channels
  • Ensure that all internal communications messages are aligned with internal and external messages (i.e. key messages, company narratives, tone of voice) 
  • Define and lead on internal Communications strategies, plans and activities intended to establish an ongoing channel of communications across DOE 
  • Manage end-to-end project plans for internal communications campaigns
  • Support Corporate Communications in internal events by contributing to crafting the messaging and program through agenda and speaker selection
  • Assess key developments across the organisation that impact employee relations to recommend suitable internal communications initiatives and practices 
  • Track budgets spend against assigned projects 
  • Maintain briefs, information, developed assets, approvals and reports pertaining to assigned projects

  • Analytical skills to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project
  • Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Be a good team player and an effective leader who can motivate the team to project completion

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Qualifications in Marketing and Communications or similar
  • Must have a formal project management qualification
  • At least 8 years of experience in Marketing and communications project management with knowledge of managing internal and external teams
