The Brand Innovation Lab (BIL) is Amazon’s custom prototyping and development team for brands and their advertising agencies. We focus on the conception and execution of branded custom experiences across Amazon properties.
The Senior Solution's Manager of the MENA region Brand Innovation Lab Team will partner with internal teams to lead key accounts, and scope, pitch and execute one-of-a-kind campaigns for some of the world’s most valuable brands. Through excellence in strategic thinking, relationship management and project management this role will raise the creative bar for brands and their customers. As the Market's Solutions Manager you will be the go to person for partner teams and to lead clients towards innovative ideas.
The BIL Sr Solutions Manager helps the team navigate never-been-done-before situations and build lasting relationships with Advertising clients by partnering to address business and marketing challenges.
The Sr Solutions Manager will also work closely with creative and technical peers within the Brand Innovation Lab and other partner teams (e.g., Alexa, AWS, Prime Video, Twitch).
The BIL Sr Solutions Manager will use custom tools like Asana, Salesforce, and other pre-sale scoping mechanisms to help the entire team “see around corners” to avoid pitfalls, delays, and mistakes while realising the full creative potential of the Amazon canvas.
The BIL Sr Solutions Manager will be comfortable working with data to find insights and write briefs that bring out the best in our creative team.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, agile leader with experience partnering with Creative, Technical and Sales teams to deliver bar-raising results for advertisers. A person who isn't afraid to wear many hats and get scrappy to find solutions in a small team with a start-up mentality that thrives in change.
Key job responsibilities
Build relationships with Advertising clients as a partner in addressing their business and marketing challenges, helping them navigate the Amazon Canvas and unlock customer centric innovation.
Work with Sales Leads and Directors to help them understand where their business can benefit from Brand Innovation Lab, while identifying opportunities for BIL to innovate to help drive incremental revenue.
Learn about new opportunities within and outside Amazon to inspire and push the Creative team to take full advantage of Amazon channels and products.
Play a frontline role in leading the development of pitches and proposals to Advertising clients.
Manage the intake vs. available resourcing process, striking the balance of saying “yes” to finding alternative solutions.
Utilize the team’s Salesforce and Asana systems ensuring data quality and output.
Foster internal relationships both on an individual level and on behalf of Brand Innovation Lab.
A day in the life
You'll partner with Art Directors, design technologists, program managers and producers to create innovative work by hacking the Amazon canvas (Alexa, Twitch, Prime Video, etc). You'll work on projects that benefit the end customer while pushing the creative envelope. And with new tech rolling out all the time, there's always an opportunity to create something innovative on behalf of our clients.
Some days you'll be helping set strategy for a key project, others you'll be project managing a complex never-been-done-before project removing ambiguity and laying a path for the team to succeed.
Leading the team locally you'll inspire partners to think creatively and help change the rhythm of the market to focus on the new vision of innovation in the market.
You'll be leading pitches to senior stakeholders and evangelising the role of creativity in driving business outcomes and improved customer experiences.
You'll be able to wear many hats to get the best creative outcome from project managing, strategy to digital and video production.
About the team
The Brand Innovation Lab team is the internal group within Amazon that creates one-of-a-kind campaigns and activations for global advertisers, like Nivea, Lego, McDonald's, Qatar Airways, and Mars.
Using all of the different platforms within the Amazon canvas (Custom landing pages on Amazon Twitch, events etc.), we create campaigns that reach millions of Amazon customers across our digital channels and out in the real-world.
In MENA we're a small and scrappy team that is still building the future of Brand Innovation Lab in the region.
- 8+ years of digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis experience
- Experience with annual brand and media planning
- Experience in digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis
- Experience in a client facing consultative role working with large, complex enterprise customers
- Experience creating processes and improving tools with measurable impact on advertisers
