Oversee and manage the quality assurance and quality control processes for civil construction projects.
Develop, implement, and enforce quality management plans and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Ensure that all materials used on-site meet the required specifications and standards, including verifying material certifications and conducting material inspections as necessary.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished work to ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications, with a strong focus on civil finishes
Coordinate with project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and designers, to ensure quality control throughout the construction phases.
Review and approve work processes and techniques related to civil finishes, including surface preparation, application methods, and finishing techniques.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions where defects or deviations from quality standards are identified.
Prepare and submit detailed quality reports, including inspection findings, corrective actions, and quality assessments to project management.
Provide guidance and training to project staff on quality assurance processes, quality control procedures, and best practices for civil finishing work.
Ensure that all safety and environmental standards are maintained in the execution of all quality control activities.
Resolve any quality-related issues or disputes with subcontractors, suppliers, or project teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry
Proven experience (X+ years) in QA/QC management in civil construction, with specific experience in overseeing civil finishing works.
In-depth knowledge of quality control systems, construction standards, and industry regulations.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to civil construction projects.
