Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Reporting To: Area Manager – OG&I
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for supporting project managers in the execution of pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design projects within the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to ensure project deliverables are met on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Commercial and Sales teams during the tender phase by preparing technical proposals and other required documentation.
Assist project managers in managing pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design projects, ensuring both technical and economic success.
Attend and lead internal and external project meetings, contributing to discussions and ensuring proper documentation through Minutes of Meetings.
Track project progress, coordinate with the project engineering manager, and generate weekly and monthly reports.
Ensure timely submission of project deliverables and develop recovery plans to address potential delays.
Initiate the preparation of claims or Variations Orders (VORs) in collaboration with the project manager.
Interpret client requirements and effectively communicate them to the project team.
Ensure strict adherence to industry codes, best practices, QA/QC procedures, performance standards, and specifications.
Foster effective collaboration with project managers and team members, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
Application Requirements:
Strong technical knowledge of Gas or Oil Processing Facilities and pipeline design.
Ability to plan and organize engineering and project management tasks logically and efficiently.
Hands-on experience in preparing Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages.
Familiarity with contract terms and conditions, including risk assessment and mitigation.
Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office, with basic knowledge of MS Project and Primavera.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in a discipline engineering role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in executing Oil & Gas projects (upstream, midstream, downstream), particularly in FEED and detailed design stages.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized university.
Language Skills:
Proficiency in English is mandatory.
