Project Management activities for Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases of projects.
Facilitate development of micro-schedules with required detailed inputs to planning engineers through due coordination with various stake-holders.
Ensure required coordination between Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC etc. to ensure smooth management of the Main Contract / Subcontracts / Purchase Orders of package(s) independently both in pre-order and post-order stages in accordance to Company guidelines and standards.
Overall ownership of timely ordering and delivery of the packages for Equipment and Bulk materials.
Initiate required coordination meetings with stakeholders to ensure efficient management.
Ensure all technical requirements are well coordinated with respective internal departments and JV partners, as applicable, and all such requirements are addressed adequately to deliver correct and defect free materials.
Ensure that all materials under the packages are in line of project requirements and applicable standards (specifications, time schedule, need dates, costs, etc.).
Commercial and Correspondence management to ensure project objectives are maintained and safeguarded (variations, claims, notifications, minutes of meetings, PO’s, RFI’s, etc.).
Coordinate and manage logistic requirements.
Constantly coordinate and support the construction team with all inputs (Materials and drawings) to ensure installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning are properly executed.
Ensure due coordination with JV partners and sub-contractors from design to final installation/pre-commissioning/commissioning stage.
Understand and facilitate development of Quality Plans, ITPs and quality control procedures; including implementation of same and any corrective actions for non-compliances.
Update and manage the project program through liaison with the Planning and Cost Engineers.
Preparation of all documentation as per project requirements, liaise with Sub-Contractors on planning, program & cost.
Prepare look ahead schedules for each task for discussion and inclusion in the progress meetings.
Collate performance data and ensure accurate reporting of project progress & cost conjunction with the Planning and Cost Engineers.
Identify, assess, record and update risks which would prevent successful delivery – Risk register.
Establish and manage the projects budget/expenditure profile within levels agreed with the Project Manager.
Regular Program and Cost Review meetings, taking action where appropriate and reporting progress.
Setting up Service Level Agreements or contracts with external organizations to provide a support service to the project in conjunction with cost engineer.
Ensure work undertaken by Subcontractors or Service Providers is managed effectively.
Interface with other Project Engineers to ensure integration /co-ordination with other delivery tasks.
Provide Daily, Weekly and Monthly progress reports or inputs to the progress reports; both for internal management and for Client.
Aware about all contractual and commercial matters in the main contract and respective Subcontracts/Orders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Structural Engineering / or equivalent
Wide experience as Project Manager /Package Manager/Project Engineer in EPC Offshore and New Building Projects.
Strong technical knowledge and acumen to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Ability to manage interdisciplinary and cross functional interfaces for efficient management of the works.
Skills to manage external Organizations (Vendors, Subcontractors, Service Providers).
Strong analytical skills required to review all project information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations.
Experience with cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management including reporting.
