2. JOB PURPOSE
Perform all activities in the Project Controls section in-line with Planning and Cost Control and overall DCT strategy. Proactively, assist & report in the area of evaluation of contractor schedule, milestone list, project schedule updates, monthly cost reports and cash flows and to support project completion dates for all DCT projects.
3. ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Accountabilities
Project Controls Operations
• Prepare master schedules for all DCT capital projects, including but not limited to Level 1/ Level 2 design, procurement & construction schedule and key milestones list for each project.
• Review project Baseline schedules submitted by Contractors, engaging in Planning workshops and ensuring that project controls procedure is implemented.
• Evaluate and analyze contractor/consultant bidding schedules, design schedules, construction baseline schedules & schedule updates throughout projects life cycle.
• Assist in developing progress reports in order to provide regular updates on projects’ status, schedule, cost and risks, and report to Project controls manager.
• Assist in the review of variation orders and extension of time claims submitted by contractors/consultants and give the recommendation to project controls manager and project team.
• Track overall project status and give recommendation and corrective action where necessary to project controls manager.
• Prepare Monthly Portfolio Reports for Lead Project Controls Engineer review, outlining projects KPI’s with respect to completion dates, progress rates and areas of concern for discussion.
• Review the Weekly/Monthly reports for various projects provided by Contractor/Consultant in order to ensure all data and progress reports are accurate and matching with the project controls procedure of DCT.
• Prepare and submit with a full coordination with project management & engineering department of Abu Dhabi Executive Office (ADEO) Monthly reports to Lead Project Controls Engineer for final review and approval.
• Attend the weekly progress meetings for various projects in order to ensure a proper monitoring and controlling of work progress.

• Follow all relevant section policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Collaboration
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Project Controls section in order to facilitate flow of information and also to build awareness in those areas.
• Follow the day-to-day assignments set by the Line Manager in the Project Controls Section to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high-quality outputs.
• Report on a regular basis to Project Controls Section Manager on the operational activities of the Project Controls Section, its challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation.
• To inform/update the Line Manager on the Project Controls section’s activities.
EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
• Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, report incidents and hazards in a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

• Support the creation of culture susceptible to change management through a ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ approach to DCT’s new business opportunities, participating in the development of new initiatives, meeting planned targets, and demonstrating preferred high-performance behaviors.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES
Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Masters Degree is highly preferred
Experience
• 6-8 years of experience in Planning/Project Control or other in the same industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position
