Role: Senior Program Manager


Location: Abu Dhabi   


Role Purpose: 


  • The Program Manager is responsible for the delivery of digital capability for the business vertical comprising Liabilities, Banca Takaful & ADIB@work. 
  • The role works closely with stakeholders within the Retail Bank including the Head of ADIB@work, Head of Liabilities & Head of Banca Takaful as well as the Digital Transformation function, compliance, Ops & IT to ensure that initiatives are articulated, planned and delivered in line with the business group’s operating model aspirations.
  • The role will include project/initiative scoping, project updates, troubleshooting & delivery.
  • This is a key role and is required to drive the major strategic change of developing digital capabilities to acquire payroll relationships for the bank, build, deploy & refine general Takaful products on the app as well as enhanced liability functionality. 
  • This includes B2C solutions for convenient digital onboarding, B2B solutions to allow employers to upload employee details and generate account numbers, innovative digital solutions for specific cases, including new to UAE employees (who do not emirates IDs in hand yet) as well as Non-residents joining key corporates.
  • It also includes the delivery of multiple new products such as cyber insurance, home contents as well as travel insurance.
  • The ADIB@work business has been identified as a key strategic lever to ramp up customer acquisition and the flow of new business is to rise exponentially (to an aspirational number of 100K accounts a year).
  • The liabilities business vertical is the main driver of new customer acquisition (which is planned to grow by over 500K customers in the next 3 years)
  • The Banca general Takaful product line needs to be enhanced and journeys optimized to ramp up numbers and capture customer share of wallet, while meeting a growing number of protections needs.

Key Accountabilities of the role:


Responsibilities:


  • Articulate the scope of projects, including BRDs & process maps.
  • Lead prioritization discussions for the business team.
  • Prepare the business case, including budgets and revenue projections. 
  • Establish key project criteria metrics & milestones.
  • Monitor progress and establish early warning triggers to pre-empt slippages.
  • Accurately cope projects. 
  • Manage project risks and shortfalls.
  • Manage stakeholders across Retail, as well as the wider Group.
  • Organize project meetings.
  • Facilitate project comms, including update of action items.
  • Find solutions when faced with technical or risk appetite obstacles. 
  • Manage prioritization, tradeoffs & delivery for the Head of Business
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the relevant product heads to churn out and own the digital agenda for business. 
  • Be the POC for multiple squads (3 to 4) who are directly mapped to the Business.
  • Drive the delivery of identified digital initiatives for the business which comprises multiple product and channel verticals
  • Prepare business cases & process maps for solutions across the various product groups and channels in the portfolio.
  • Work with the Digital transformation office to churn out solutions that meet the requirements.

Previous experience required (if any): 


  • University Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related filed which could include client relationship management, sales, digital, IT, data analytics, or related roles within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Previous experience in a digital banking function would be +
  • A good understanding of retail banking products, processes and operating norms in the UAE
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel & PowerPoint) 
  • Working knowledge of system architecture, programming tools &digital ecosystems
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset and a track record of driving project delivery. 
  • Ability to conduct market benchmarking and user journey assessments for peer/comp comparisons.
  • Working knowledge of multiple retail business lines, preferably including Liabilities, Takaful as well as niche propositions such as youth, NR, affluent segments
