Context:
MAGMA Waste Treatment Services operates and maintains two industrial Waste Treatment Facilities (IWTF) in Ruwais (Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates) with around 200 employees.
The Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility (HWTF or BeAAT) includes TDU’s, Centrifugation, Stabilization, Class I and II landfill, PCT, and Incineration lines with a capacity around 60 KTA;
The Natural Occurring Radioactive Materials Treatment Facility (NORM) is a new 6,5 KTA decontamination and treatment facility, including a high pressure water descaling system, centrifugation, incineration and encapsulation of ashes prior to disposal in in-situ Hazardous landfill.
Two / third of the assets were commissioned in 2021 and some alignment works, process, procedures are being reviewed and implemented to comply with Veolia standards since MAGMA Team took over the facilities in June 2023, after a successful process.

Main Accountabilities:
The Senior Procurement Engineer executes and supports the procurement and supply chain strategy in accordance with the project requirements and is accountable for contributing to the project’s procurement performance/KPIs. S/he deals with Service providers, Sub-contractors and suppliers as well as the project procurement team (including project procurement officers, expeditors and logistics teams).
Detailed Job Description:
Sourcing of A2Z goods (Consumables, Chemicals, Spares, PPEs, Machinery and tools, etc.) and
services (Manpower hire, AMCs, plant and equipment hire, indirect categories, etc.)
Supervision of Procurement officers on day to day procurement activities.
Tracking and periodic reporting on the KPIs of the procurement officers.
Review and improve the RFQ input received from the operations team.
Sourcing of competent vendors using vendor evaluation process.
Sending RFI / RFQ for goods and services, with relevant terms and conditions.
Preparation of Commercial Bid Evaluation with the offers received.
Negotiation of prices, terms & conditions with at most competency.
Procurement of goods & services with competency and addressing the risks.
Preparation of Contract and Purchase Orders.
Lead the Kick-off meetings and other communication with the vendors and internal stake-holders.
Preparation of MIS reports.
Vendor evaluation and development; administration of vendor database in accordance with processes
Ensure compliance of procurement activities with the Policies of the organization.
Contributes to the improvement of processes (REX) and guarantees implementation on his / her scope.
Enforces, adheres and upholds the law, behaving ethically with all the stakeholders.
Respects all Group policies (HSE, Ethics...) and compliance with internal reporting rules.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or similar with equivalent technical procurement experience
Experience and skills:
Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in Procurement, preferably in O&M and EPC projects in sectors of Water /Waste / Energy / Oil & Gas / Construction.
Proven technical, commercial, and operational knowledge in engineering procurement for large projects.
Previous experience in multinational contractors/consultancies, in similar sectors mentioned above.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Work positively in multinational teams; high cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
High level of integrity and commitment to ethical behavior
Ability to convince different stakeholders to drive change
Good communicator, people-manager and team player
Willing and able to be based full-time in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi
