The Senior Ocean Care Lead is part of the Service Fulfillment team in Maersk India and Middle East Transported by Maersk (IME TbM) and is responsible for delivering our promises to our customers by enabling cost efficient and smooth cargo operations on all vessels calls, both mainliner and feeders, from origin till destination.
We are looking for an ideal candidate to join us in IME TbM, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities



• Act as the team leader in Ocean Care manager's absence, influencing without authority
• Manage Customer Ocean Service Delivery, end-to-end delivery promises from export locations, through transshipment hubs until destination, enabling network and cargo connectivity. Look for opportunities to minimize supply chain variability and improve delivery times.
•Use big data as your friend to help you locate hotspots, innovate new solutions, drive change and implement them through structured execution.
•Innovate, experiment, fail, re-group and try again. Build ideas through agile learning to deliver results. Own the ideas and projects and use them to find solutions.
•Your stakeholders in Ocean Fulfilment, Service Fulfilment, Customer Experience, ROM and across Maersk brands are key to success. Participate, voice your opinion, ask, learn and challenge status quo! Use these to drive change and results.
•Regular visits to our customers to hear their feedback on all operational indicators, feedback on where they feel we could do better and to build closer operational relationships.
•You will be handling customer direct requests and products like Break bulk, Change of Destination, Flex Hub and more... Put your customers at the heart of all your decisions.
•Your daily tasks and activities impact the customer experience. Handle with care, devising trade-off between Service Delivery, cost, operational efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance.
•Create and maintain Ocean operational deadlines.
•Be accountable for conducting daily terminal inventory sweeps to ensure in house and terminal systems are aligned, laden and empty containers.
•Own all terminal related costs for ports in scope, working jointly with our Ocean Fulfilment, Service Fulfilment and Finance Business Partner teams to deliver defined cost savings, including but not limited to Cargo Readiness, seasonality and longstanding.
•Ensure unjustified costs are recovered from either our vendors or customers.
•Work with our special cargo specialists to ensure safety of our people and assets, along with regulatory compliance.
•Seek and recommend opportunistic improvements to the team and how we work with other functions.

Feeder or Liner experience is mandatory for the role.

•The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree.
•An individual with any background, Logistics, Business Development, Analytics, Finance, Operations or any other discipline is welcome. Shipping knowledge will also help.
•An individual with a passion to learn about trade flows, product development and innovation.
• Someone who can truly work under pressure and adapt to the new environment without impacting output and their decision-making quality.
•You are looking to broaden your horizons and learn how transformation is implemented and be part of change.
•Someone that is curious, asks questions, not afraid to voice their opinion. Use the information to gain depth of knowledge for execution.

This position demands a 5-day a week shift work during working hours, which may require working during weekends and public holidays on a rotation basis, for which we offer compensation.
